On 15th July 2026 marking the 10th anniversary of the attempted coup d’état in 2016 four European organizations of Judges (Association of European Administrative Judges, AEAJ; the European Association of Judges, EAJ; Judges for Judges and Magistrates Européens pour la Démocratie et les Libertés, MEDEL) sent a joint statement on the situation of the judiciary and the dismantling of the Rule of Law in Türkiye to EU and Council of Europe authorities.
